With over a decade of experience in London’s finest salons and barbershops, Mya skillfully blends creativity with precision to deliver looks that suit your lifestyle.
She specialises in scissor cuts for all genders and hair types; from textured mullets, razored shaggy layers, to sleek bobs and flawless skin fades. Mya’s signature is styles made to last: wearable, easy-to-manage, and tailored just for you.
Beyond the cut, she brings in-depth knowledge of hair health, hair care and styling routines, to help your hair look its best every day.
You’ll find Mya working on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. She is also a fully qualified integrative therapist accredited by BACP, as well as a certified hypnotherapist — bringing a thoughtful, mindful dimension to her craft.
DEREK - DIRECTOR / BARBER
Shorties founder, Derek, has almost a decade in the hair industry. Originally from Dublin, he’s managed a barbershop in east London and went on to work at one of Londons most high end barbershops.
deciding to go it alone, Derek launched Shorties as a private, one ghair studio space originally. Fast forward, and it’s now an award winning, three chair barbershop with a full blown 80’s aesthetic - think neon lights, retro vibes, and seriously maximal design. His love for design has turned shorties into more than just a barbershop- it’s an experience (and, let’s be honest, an excuse for him to fill the space with nerd stuff).
